Welcome the World to Vancouver Island
The local community is invited to join in welcoming delegates from UNESCO Biosphere Regions across Europe and North America as EuroMAB 2026 officially begins.
Join us on Monday, September 14, for a memorable evening featuring an Indigenous welcome and cultural sharing, greetings from local and international representatives, and opportunities to meet visitors working to strengthen relationships between people, nature, and communities around the world.
Hosted by the Mount Arrowsmith Biosphere Region, the evening will introduce the conference theme, Interwoven Futures: Co-creating Sustainability with Nature and Communities. It will celebrate the diverse knowledge, cultures, generations, and collaborative relationships that contribute to more sustainable futures.
