EuroMAB 2026 Opening Reception and Ceremony

Don’t miss the opening reception and ceremony of EuroMAB 2026 hosted at the Tigh-Na-Mara Conference Centre on Monday September 14th starting at 6:00pm.

The ceremony will begin at 6:45pm with a welcome and prayer from Snaw-naw-as First Nation and opening remarks from Qualicum First Nation, City of Parksville, Town of Qualicum Beach, Regional District of Nanaimo, British Columbia NDP, Environment and Climate Change Canada, Canadian Biosphere Regions Association, Canadian Commission for UNESCO, and UNESCO.

The ceremony will close with songs by the Salish shxw’aluqw’a’. Food will include a slider station, mac and cheese station, crudites, antipasto, and cheese platters, a decadent chocolate fountain, canapes and hors d’Oeuvres.
