1st Annual Biosphere Awareness Day: “Community Connections”
The 1st Annual BAD day (Biosphere Awareness Day) is set to take place Thursday December 4, 2025 at the Kwalikum Secondary School. The BAD day aims to raise awareness that we live in a UNESCO-designated Biosphere Region and the collective community efforts that go into supporting its mandates.
This year's theme is “Community Connections” an event that connects students with the community by bringing community to school. This is a great reason for you to visit a local Secondary School and an opportunity to connect with local non-profit groups and government organizations working across the biosphere region. Over 30 non-profit groups and government organizations have confirmed their attendance.
We hope you’ll join us in celebrating this milestone event and help inspire the next generation of stewards in our region. Your presence and participation will make a meaningful impact as we work together to strengthen connections, spark curiosity, and build a more informed and connected biosphere region. We look forward to seeing you there!
